Full job description
Job Title: Site Nurse-LPN
Position Summary: The site nurse is responsible for the ongoing, overall healthcare service delivery, coordination and monitoring of all assigned individuals
Essential Functions:
Completes regular site visits to all assigned sites to make formal and informal observations of staff performance, individual health needs, ensures implementation of changes in plans of care.
Responsible for review and documenting the ongoing health needs of assigned individuals and works with all members of the individual’s team to formulate, update and document associated plans of care, nursing goals and objectives and interventions.
Participates in conferences and other meetings with individuals, parents, guardians and/or staff regarding individual progress. Provides input and recommendations during the planning process of each individual regarding medical, physical and emotional status, progress, needs and desired outcomes. This may include attending medical appointments and/or coordinating ancillary support services for assigned individuals (i.e. PT/OT/SLP/Dietary).
Oversees medication administration and health related activities ensuring compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. Provides individual specific training to staff at assigned day programs and ICF/IDD sites. Completes quality assurance audits and regular medication pass observations at assigned sites.
Adheres to assigned work and on call schedules at assigned sites. May be asked to work other shifts, weekends & holidays. May be asked to cover other nurse’s assigned sites. May be asked to assist with additional sites (i.e. camp).
Assists in new and annual training of staff in the areas of OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogens, Medication Administration Certification 1, 2 & 3, Annual Medication Administration Refresher & Return Demonstrations, individual specific training and other topics as determined.

Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Position Summary: This position is responsible for management, coordination, and oversight of all aspects of payroll and deposits. This position is also responsible for Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation premium payments and reporting.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for all aspects of the bi-weekly payroll process, including tax filings, garnishments, court orders, employee 403(b) plan deferral remittances, and managing PTO balances.
Collaborate with the Human Resources department to manage employee benefits and deductions. Responsible for responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and/or discrepancies. Assists supervisors in the approval of staff time submissions to ensure accuracy by identifying and communicating anomalies and coordinating the correction of errors.
Maintain employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Assures payroll and related recordkeeping is confidential, detailed, accurate, orderly, and available to appropriate personnel and requesting agencies.
Utilize accounting software and third-party systems for efficient payroll processing.
Manages cash and live check deposits, working with Controller and Director of Finance to ensure proper recording of deposited funds amongst The Society, SHC Foundation, and Society Assisted Living.
Responsible for Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation reporting, ensures Ohio BWC premium payments are made timely, and that all available Ohio BWC premium discounts are being earned.
Assists with The Society’s unemployment claims, from the time a claim is initiated, through the appeals and reporting process, until the claim is settled.

Job Title: Development and Community Relations Coordinator
Position Summary: Responsible for the general oversight and direction for the agency’s fundraising, development, marketing and public relations functions.
Full time - may require weekends
Essential Functions:
Works with the Development and Community Relations Manager to create and execute a strategic funding and marketing plan in collaboration with the Executive Director and Senior Management. These activities include fundraising, legacy/gift giving, grant writing, public relations strategies, electronic and social media strategies, and traditional print and advertising mediums.
Responsible for the development and coordination of fund development, including cultivating and maintaining partnerships with businesses and supporters, annual fundraising plans, special events, legacy donations, community fundraising activity and grant writing projects. Ensure all special events achieve/exceed revenue goal by implementing industry best practices for recruiting event committees, teams, sponsors, and individuals to grow stakeholder base.
Coordinates grant writing activities for all programs to ensure that applications are submitted to the appropriate grantor and are written according to the grant requirements and reported according to the grant specifications.
Aggressively seeks new corporate and foundation funding and maintain relationships with current and past donors. Updates all donor information and provides to management team and boards as requested. Lead special projects and experiences to engage donors.
Assists in the design and management of public relations of The Society brand. Responsible for marketing and communications on all platforms to maximize public awareness of the agency, promote fundraising, support advocacy efforts and educate on disability issues. DAILY LIVING
A DSP provides the basic needs needed for any person to live a fulfilling life. This can look like teaching a person how to brush their teeth, helping them in and out of their wheelchair, taking care of the hygiene needs, cooking meals, and more. When you provide this type of care, you are providing a life that the person would not be able to live without your support.
COMMUNITY INTEGRATION
We all want to be part of our communities. A DSP provides an opportunity for individuals to have access to their communities. Many individuals with DD cannot drive or transport themselves. You are the catalyst to connect them to the world. This looks like going out to dinner, going shopping, volunteering with them, going bowling, and just living life with them!
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION
Many individuals with Developmental Disabilities rely on medication in order to live a quality life, and in some cases, they are life-saving medications. A DSP is trained and certified to pass medications to individuals so that they can live a happy, healthy life. Don’t worry, we give you all the tools and training that you need!
